Hill Architects work is guided by a belief that the quality of our surroundings directly influences the quality of our lives, whether that is at home, in the workplace or in the public realm. We believe that all good architecture is generated by people’s material, emotional and spiritual needs, a concern for the physical context and a sensitivity to the culture and climate of place.

The work of the practice is keenly responsive to diverse client needs as well as the unique essence of a given place. We are committed to an architecture that is of its time; that is connected to, yet independent of,
its context.

With our clients we develop a specific design brief that responds to their desired outcomes regarding budget, detail, program and project delivery. Our client relationships are characterised by a high degree of personal service, coupled with a commitment to respect the precious resources of cost and time.

The practice was established by Peter Hill in 2004, after 5 years post-graduate experience in Europe, and then 10 years experience as a partner or director of small architectural practices in Sydney. Peter is a registered architect in NSW and the UK, has taught architectural design at Sydney’s universities, and serves on local councils' design review panels.
